The reason why I'm writing another journal is very simple. In fact, there are two reasons: first and foremost is to inform you what I'm up to and the second, much more stupid, I'm just trying to make really cool looking journal for once
. As you know, last month I just finished my Stargate Ra cosplay, on which I worked the whole last year. Unfortunately, due to the current situation Animefest 2020, where I was hoping to participate in the cosplay contest, was chancelled. Nevertheless, all work is finished and I hope to try again in 2021. Here in my gallery on DA you can see every photo I took of this costume + related Stargate works:
Secondly, I'd like to inform you that I'm currently working on two new cosplay projects. First is professor Quirrell from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone movie. Here is my progress:
I just finished the jacket and now I started working on his turban.
Second cosplay will be Vanan'Ice Kaito/KYTE - the Lost Memory costume:

Hello Dear watchers!! :)
It's been a while since my last journal. This year has been very busy for me, so I didn't have time to write anything. But I have some good news today: first, my Gandalf the Grey costume is almost complete. All I have to do now is to make the cloak and maybe the silver scarf and then start working on his wig & beard. This will be so much fun

Also did I mention that I found a new hobby? No? Besides cosplay, my new interest is collecting movie replicas. This is my Harry Potter/The Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit collection of props, some are made by me, some are purchased. My intention is to make my collection even bigger and add more items ^^.
February 2021 news
Hello Dear watchers!! :)
Even though I'm now on cosplay hiatus (largely thanks to the pandemic), I'm still working hard. Despite this, there is one project I really want to make this year and I will make it no matter what. that project is Gandalf the Grey, the famous wizard from the Lord of the Rings trilogy:
As you can see, this project will be mostly inspired by his movie depiction, which was portrayed by an actor Ian Mckellen. Though I have to say I'm going to mix the Hobbit and LOTR versions as I intend to make the definitive Gandalf.
Pictured below are the first costume parts I've already made or bought. The staff is an exact replica made by United Cutlery. It's 183 cm tall and is made of hard polyresin reinforced by steel. The map was made by me.

The Eclipse problem
I have to say this: at first I didn't mind the change from the old site to Eclipse. As long as there was the "change back" button. But now I realized how much it's inferior to the previous design. Gone are the gallery categories, the option to make custom thumbnails, everything is too BIG and I have serious trouble to find anything. Those few pros, such as the night color scheme and the polls, won't make me like it. I want the old site back or make this new one at least more manageable. This makes me wonder if I should keep posting here or leave dA forever. Under these circumstances I don't know anymore.
